Music

This class is intended for all ages.  Children are taught basics of music such as rhythm, music types and introduction to instruments.  Music is a wonderful way in enhance a mood, create a setting or even tell a story; the children will be amazed when they are introduced to all of music's passion and excitement.

Art

The Art class focuses on creativity.  While using their imaginations and abilities, your child will learn to create art in a fun, stimulating environment.  In addition to creating art, the children will be stimulated through tactiles, music, dance and stories.  Art is an amazing way for children to express themselves.  Creating together with you is a memory your child will carry with them for a life time.

Wiggles

 

Wiggles

This class is designed to teach young children about their bodies and how to control them.  In wiggles, your  child will explore movement through dance, story telling, poetry and song.  They will also learn basic stretching and some breathing and relaxation techniques.  Children will have an opportunity to 'play' with a parachute, dance with scarves and enjoy a shower of bubbles.  Each class will thrill, excite and challenge your toddler. 

 

All classes are approx. 40 minutes long (except preschool).  Parents are welcome to be as involved, or removed from class as they like.  We have many glass viewing windows if you, or your child, are more comfortable with parents out of the room.  Parent participation is certainly welcome  we also provide the option to sit in and watch during class time as well.  A drop-off option is available (you may leave your child and run errands, etc.) for all children 2years and over; we ask that you return to class 5 minutes prior to it's scheduled release time..

 Preschool Program Overview

Early Three's Class

 

Play-Dayz offers an Early Three's preschool class for children 2 1/2 - 3 years. 

This class began January 2010 - it is not too late to join!!

 

 The early Three's Program is one day a week from January through May - the focus is preschool readiness.  The children will be taught to learn and work with their peers, gain social skills, receive basic math and science skills and learn to recognize their names and other letters, along with calendar basics.

 

 This class takes a monthly field trip and asks for parent participation in the classroom (although it is not required).

 

The children will experience and learn  cooking, outdoor exploration, hands-on field trips, art, music, sharing and cooperation, shapes, colors, counting, days of the week,  weather, seasons, animals, plants, exercise and much more.....

 

This class is the perfect place to ease your child into preschool and Kindergarten readiness.  This class also fits perfectly with our 3/4 year old program which begins each fall for three and four year olds.  Children leaving this program will be ready for a full preschool program.

The class is $50 per month with a $20 registration fee to hold your child's spot.  This class does fill early, get your registration in as soon as possible.

 

PRESCHOOL

 

THREE YEAR OLD CLASS

The three year old class will meet 2 days a week.  Your choices for class times are: Mon/Wed 8:30 - 11:00 OR Tues/Thurs 9:30am - 12:00pm.  There is a $40 registration fee and the cost of the class is $90 a month. 

Registration paperwork and the $40 fee will hold your child's place on our roster for the fall session.  We will have monthly field trips as well as exciting learning experiences in the classroom. 

The Three's class will study science (animals, plants, weather, environment), math (counting, number recognition, grouping, shapes), colors, fine motor manipulation (cutting, correct positioning of writing utensil, left to right reading), comprehension (understanding and retelling of a story), and more.  Your child will also learn valuable social skills and get excited about learning.  Music, Art and physical play will be incorporated into this program as well.

FOUR YEAR OLD CLASS

The four's class will meet with the Three's class two days a week, and will have an additional day for a total of three days a week.  The additional day will be spent on more challenging studies and projects. 

You will choose from Mon/Wed 8:30 - 11:00 OR  Tues/Thurs 9:30am - 12:00pm - And all four year old will meet Fridays 9:00am - 11:30.  Classes will begin in September 2010.  There is a $40 registration fee and the class is $130 a month - tuition payments begin in August.  If 10 months of tuition are paid, in full, by the end of September you will receive 10% off the total due for the year. This is equal to one free month!

Your child will experience all the activities of the Three's class as well as more challenging writing exercises, comprehension work, advanced science, math, writing and art projects.  This is an exciting time for development, Play-Dayz will guide and nurture your child.  Children leaving our program will be prepared for Kindergarten and all the social and educational challenges that face them in elementary school.

Parent participation in class is essential to our program.  While we do understand that all parents will not be able to volunteer, we ask that you try to work in the classroom from time to time - this helps the children see your involvement in their education.

Play-Dayz is  non-profit organization.  All class fees go toward administration costs and supplies.
